When is Ashleigh coming to Taiwan? Well, according to my iCal, she’s supposed to arrive on Wednesday, April 13.* However, in true Hatcher fashion (we love surprises!), Ashleigh arrived in Taiwan last night, April 6. Sara was the only one who knew she was coming, so Sara (and Kara) met Ashleigh at the airport late last night. Ashleigh showed up at school today during lunch time, and she, Sara, and Kara met me on the stairs.
Here’s the video of my surprise:
Thanks, Ash. This was an awesome surprise and a really fun day. It’s so good to have you back in Taiwan!
P.S. Does anyone else’s voice jump three octaves when you get surprised and excited? Mine does…and it’s embarrassing.
*For those of you who don’t know, Ashleigh is moving to Taiwan to tent-make as a cram school teacher and minister by volunteering with His Hands Taiwan. Check out Ashleigh’s blog to find out more about her adventures: ashleighhatcher.wordpress.com.
I love it!! What a super fun surprise–go Ashleigh!!! :)
(and yes, I think the high octave screeching is common among us of the fairer sex! lol)
