I have two dear friends who attended Asbury with me and were married just after they graduated.  They have remained close friends of mine throughout the years, and I am blessed to spend time with them about once a year.  I guess we are on a similar life schedule because they got a little Shih tzu puppy named Jake just a bit before I got Emi (almost exactly two years ago, by the way–wow, time flies!).  Here’s little Jake:

This summer, I was blessed to be able to visit with these friends again, and they gave me the most adorable painting of a puppy that looks amazingly similar to Emi.  It is hanging on the wall in my bedroom, and I just love looking at it because it reminds me of my good friends and of my cute puppy.  Here’s a picture of the painting and the real deal:

By the way, I think that if Emi and Jake could ever meet in the same country, they would be best friends just like their owners are.
