Perhaps that title is a little deceiving…in a couple of ways.
After a night of high wind and some rain, we awoke to a calm and quiet scene in Dashe, Kaohsiung this morning. Where did the typhoon go? Beats me! The radar still shows it hovering over Taiwan, but when I look out my window, the scene is completely tranquil.
Current Conditions:
Cloudy with a chance of meatballs. Ha, with the unpredictability of this storm, I think that might actually be possible! But really, the wind and rain started sometime in the night, but it’s nothing to talk about yet. Just a normal overcast morning in Kaohsiung. If you look at the satellite images, you’ll see we’re getting the front end of the storm now, so the intensity should pick up as the storm moves over us. Ha ha, just kidding. But I am a bit of weather-girl-wannabe, so I’ve decided to create some simple posts on my blog as we experience Typhoon Tembin in Taiwan. I think this will be a good way to share updates (including photos & videos) once we really get rockin’.
